不！我要把礼服锁入白桦木的衣橱
我毋需你——自私的孩子啊——的拯救！
你怎会不知我胸口疤痕带来的痛楚
是你以见面礼的名义把我的心取走——？

你叫做背叛的毒刺蜇螫我无数日月
他要我，他说，他要我双眸含着的光明
然而，对于向日葵，泪水浸润不可或缺
令冬季降临吧，并令他的爱寒冷如冰

The dress that you made for me still smells of sunlight,
Of long, lazy rye-coloured days in the fields,
Of you, cheating at chess on those warm summer nights
And your kisses and blushes and clumsy appeal—

No! I keep the gown locked in my linden-wood chest
I don't need you to save me, a self-serving kid!
Don't you know I can still feel the scar on my breast
Where you carved out my heart as a welcoming gift?

Your betrayal stings even through so many years
He wants me, He says, for the light in my eyes
But... sunflowers only grow watered by tears
So the winter moves in and His love is like ice

My rue-flower phoenix, when will you rise
